Voice Journal works without an account, and your journal lives on your device. You only have an account if you chose to sign in for backup and sync. Here is how to delete it.
Delete from inside the app (fastest)
Open Voice Journal → Settings → Account → Delete account, then confirm. This permanently deletes your account, every entry and photo backed up to our servers, and the journal on that device. It works the same on Android, iPhone and iPad; on iPhone and iPad, if you used Sign in with Apple, it also revokes the app’s Sign in with Apple access.
Request deletion by email
If you can’t open the app, email contact@bitfuzed.com from the address you signed in with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We’ll confirm and complete the deletion.
What is deleted
- Your account identifier (the email/ID from your sign-in provider).
- Every journal entry synced to our servers (text, mood, tags, location, dates).
- Every backed-up photo copy and its caption, if you had Journal Pro.
- The journal on the device you delete from: entries, audio recordings and photos. The app keeps working without an account, starting from an empty journal.
Other devices: if you were also signed in on another phone or tablet, the copy of the journal already on it stays there until you sign out on that device or uninstall the app. If you request deletion by email, the journal on your devices is removed when you uninstall the app.
Subscriptions: deleting your account does not cancel a Journal Pro subscription — cancel it in Google Play or your Apple Account settings.
Retention: synced data is removed promptly on deletion and is not retained afterward, except where the law requires us to keep limited records.
